SELEX ES, part of the global Finmeccanica group, provides marine electronics to the luxury superyacht market. The company was preparing for the Monaco Yacht Show, one of the biggest events in the industry calendar, and wanted to generate interest in a new satellite internet offering.
As SELEX had a database of relevant email addresses, we drafted an e-shot emphasising a key differentiator - the fact that the packages were completely flexible. Instead of tying captains into an annual tariff, they could change on a monthly basis. This represented a considerable cost saving, because data requirements vary depending on whether the super yacht is at sea or in port. The e-shot had a clear call to action to request a quote, and included details of SELEX's presence at the Monaco Yacht Show.
The e-shot's response far exceeded SELEX's expectations, generating enquiries worth $500,000 in advance of Monaco.
