Assembly Hall Theatre

Challenge

Assembly Hall Theatre’s exhilarating range of theatre, music, comedy, dance and family events encourages everyone in the Tunbridge Wells area to participate in the arts.

Concerned that its current site did not communicate the scope of its activities, Assembly Hall Theatre wanted to create a new website to become a benchmark of innovation and quality.

The theatre’s aim was to attract a wider audience as well as increasing conversion rates to reduce pressure on the theatre’s telephone sales team. The theatre also wanted to give greater visibility to its community endeavours and cross-cultural partnerships.

They approached us following our successful work on Birmingham’s Town Hall Symphony Hall website.

Approach

To achieve its goals, Assembly Hall Theatre needed to refine its sitemap to optimise the user journey and improve conversion. Working closely with the marketing team and web developer, our first step was to make recommendations on restructuring the website to enable visitors to find what they were looking for, fast.

Leveraging the theatre’s community links and partnerships as well as recent creative learning activities, we also drafted compelling content that reflected the theatre’s dynamic position in the community.

Result

Not only does the revised Assembly Hall Theatre website reflect its importance as a centre of culture in a thriving community. It also enables visitors to achieve their goals quickly, whether they’re booking tickets or exploring local activities.
